Darwin's youth culture is to be celebrated through a new program of events scheduled to take place later this month.
As part of the City of Darwin's 2013 National Youth Week, LAUNCH will involve a range of arts, cultural and recreational activities for youngsters all over the area.
Darwin Entertainment Centre will play host to the events from April 10 – 13, with highlights including dance classes, a fashion parade and one-off theatre performances.
LAUNCH reaffirms Darwin's position as a destination for people both young and old alike, encouraging those within the city to purchase apartments in Darwin when they make their first steps on the property ladder.
The event has been put together by young people between the ages of 15 and 25 – they have been able to develop skills in a range of areas including planning, programming and marketing.
There was also the opportunity for youngsters to learn lighting and sound talents as they were paired with industry experts to learn first-hand the skills that they need.
It is hoped that LAUNCH will help people see Darwin in a new light by offering areas to enjoy the city's atmosphere and its range of creative talents.
