Darwin is located in the perfect position to take advantage of trading markets in Asia and the government looks set to capitalise on these areas.
The Northern Territory government is currently organising an integrated transport planning and investment roadmap, which will bring new infrastructure, services and safety to residents of property in Darwin and businesses in the state.
Asian markets such as those in Japan, China and Indonesia are experiencing rapid growth and the city of Darwin is in prime position to take advantage of them.
In order to achieve the goals set out for Darwin, and increase economic growth, the transport infrastructure needs to be further developed, according to Minister for Transport, Peter Styles.
"Without good transport systems and reliable supply chains, people cannot easily access and participate in society and take up new opportunities – which are why we need a realistic long term plan," he said.
The roads, bridges, barge landings, ports, railways, airports and aerodromes look set to be developed, which will help drive economic growth and create more opportunities for residents of real estate in Darwin.
Improving economic and social development in the state will help to create a stronger and more prosperous region, according to Mr Styles.
