Support NT Caught This Silly Season

Just because Christmas is over and done with for another year does not mean you can't still give your taste buds a thrill.

If you live in real estate in Darwin you can take advantage of the locally produced and caught seafood the Northern Territory has to offer.

The Northern Territory's Fisheries Minister Willem Westra van Holthe has unveiled a new campaign 'support NT caught' encouraging locals to enjoy local delicacies.

Those in property in Darwin are lucky enough to live in a state that has a high level of labelling, so consumers can be assured they know where their products are coming from and know they are buying items grown locally rather than imported from other areas.

"Consumers value quality, fresh local seafood and the Northern Territory seafood industry provides some of the best available," said Mr Westra van Holthe.

The beautiful Northern Territory has some of the world's best seafood, and buying local also means residents can support jobs in the region, which goes a long way to ensure the economy is kept vibrant and healthy.

A healthy economy has many benefits for residents, including improvements in infrastructure, meeting current demands for roads and to provide for increased expenditure on health care.
