Spend New Years Eve at the Darwin Waterfront

If you are looking for a fun way to herald in the New Year, Darwin's waterfront has a great event you could join.

Residents of real estate in Darwin can head down to the free festivities from 5 p.m. It is set to finish around 9:30 p.m., which makes it the perfect family friendly affair.

The kids can get their faces painted and will certainly enjoy a visit from one of a range of roving performers as well as the more formal concert.

Pack a picnic or purchase a delicious dinner from one of the local traders in the area. There will be plenty of food stalls set up – so bring your appetite!

The main stage will feature the sounds of Animal's Rock, a children's show, followed by a variety of local acts set out to entertain the masses.

You can experience the musical delights of Barry Brown's Groove Town, Luke West, Josh Goodrem, Dave Spry and the Moral High Ground.

The skies will light up with fireworks display at 9 p.m., so it is worth sticking around for.

If you live in property in Darwin you will be pleased to know there will be free parking available at the Kitchener Drive Multi-storey car park, Convention Centre Basement car park as well as in designated spots on the street from 4 p.m. until midnight.
