Residents of property in Darwin are being invited to voice their opinion about the region's public transport, with a public survey being announced for the community to provide feedback. Minister for Transport Peter Styles said the government was dedicated to ensuring people could be honest and forward about their experiences with the city's transportation network.
Looking for feedback about transport safety, the state is looking to prioritise improvements and begin working towards creating the most functional transport infrastructure possible for Darwin and the resident's living in the region.
"The government has introduced a number of changes recently, after the Department of Transport undertook a comprehensive risk assessment of security on the public transport network. Safety and security on the public transport network remains a key priority for Government and we are committed to improving the safety and wellbeing of drivers and passengers on public transport," said Mr Styles in a 1 October statement.
This could be a wonderful opportunity for people living in the area to have a say in decisions that affect them every day and take control of the future development of the region. The survey is available for comment until 31 October 2014.
