The 2013 program for the annual Darwin Festival has been announced and is set to feature 85 different events over 18 days.
The festival is a great opportunity for those with property in Darwin to indulge in some family fun and celebrate the beautiful tropical city with a cultural extravaganza featuring a variety of performances.
The 2013 program will take place from August 8-25 at two main festival hubs – George's Green and Festival Park.
This year, the Darwin Festival will be celebrating the diversity of the Territory with a special section dedicated to Indonesia.
For the first time, festival-goers can enjoy a unique puppetry show and a performance by Jakarta's White Shoes & the Couples company.
Visitors and those who own real estate in Darwin can also benefit from free Darwin Public Transport rides on the same day as their event ticket, making it even easier to experience the festival.
"The Darwin Festival features a variety of venues across Darwin and is a highly anticipated event on Darwin's calendar," said Matt Conlan, minister for arts and museums, in a June 26 statement.
"Once again there will be some fantastic free events in the 2013 program where families can enjoy a great night of entertainment with the kids and celebrate our unique lifestyle at no cost."
