Residents of real estate in Darwin who love all things natural will be excited to know about the upcoming celebrations happening at the Northern Territory's Wildlife Park, which is celebrating 25 years of operation on Saturday 18 October. Minister for parks and wildlife Bess Price said over 1.5 million people have walked through the park's gates since they opened in 1989 and has been a staple of the region's tourism industry.
"Generations of Territorians have grown up with the park. It has played a role in the holidays of people from all over the world and is a wonderful spot for locals to take visitors to give them a taste of the Territory. The Territory Wildlife Park love sharing their knowledge of the wildlife and the habitats in their care and want to share this day with Territorians," said Ms Price in a 25 September statement.
There will be a number of activities available for people of all ages to enjoy during the day, including animal encounters, giveaways, birthday cake – so head on down to the Wildlife Park with the family and prepare for a fun day of celebrations.
