New opportunities for Darwin artists following application for arts funding announcement

Are you an artist living in real estate in Darwin and interested in having your next project funded by the Northern Territory government? Minister for Arts and Museums Matt Conlan recently announced applications for the latest share of $135,000 for future projects are underway – offering a wonderful opportunity for those living in the local community to seek support from the state government.

The second round of funding aims to help support local artists, non-profit organisations and community members to see make their ideas become a reality.

"Grants of up to $15,000 are available to support arts activities in all regions of the Northern Territory for research, development, promotion and presentation. This total pool of $135,000 in funding will allow our talented artists to develop their skills and promote their work to a much wider audience or tour to remote areas in the Territory and other places in Australia," said Mr Conlan in an 18 September statement.

The first round of funding earlier this year saw 14 applicants from a huge range of different background receive a share of $165,000 to put towards their the various projects being undertaken in the state.

Now could be a great time to apply for funding and begin working towards making your dreams a reality!
