Anyone who lives in houses or apartments in Darwin will know the city always has fantastic entertainment events on throughout the year.
Fortunately, BASSINTHEGRASS is returning to the Darwin Amphitheatre for its 12th consecutive year on May 24.
The first release of artists playing the festival have been announced and include some of Australia’s biggest young acts.
Headlining the event this year is Vance Joy, who was recently featured on Triple J’s Hottest 100 list. The buzz around his hit single ‘Riptide’ and anticipation for the release of his debut album make him a must-see for all music fans.
Young Australian rapper Allday is also featured on the bill and will be a highlight for hip-hop enthusiasts.
Straight from major international appearances at festivals in France, the UK and US is Karnivool, who will add something out of the ordinary to the lineup.
Last but not least The Amity Affliction is back by popular demand, a crowd favourite last year they will perform as one of the closing acts this time around.
Further acts will be announced in the coming weeks, including local bands who are asked to apply to organisers to be considered for the event.
This festival is all-ages and tickets go on sale April 14. Tickets cost $70.oo each and include a souvenir cap and free travel to the event on the Darwin Bus Link network.
