Fun in the Park Back for April School Holiday

Children and parents living in real estate in Darwin should be excited about the upcoming school holidays, as the Fun in the Parks program is set to be another week packed with entertainment for the whole family.

The city of Darwin funds the Fun in the Parks school holiday program to entertain the region’s younger residents outside the classroom.  Events are held in Darwin’s extensive outdoor facilities so children can enjoy the fresh air while they are on holiday.

The summer activities included a range of different water and ball games and creative art and craft classes.  Every activity is supervised and each child is provided with cool drinking water and sunscreen.

As the Easter holidays are fast approaching, the list of events for April looks set to be as exciting as ever.

At Dinah Beach Oval on Monday April 7 there will be Easter activities and face painting, Wednesday April 9 is the Wild Thingz Animal Encounter at the Water Gardens on Freshwater Road and Wanguri Park will hold some imaginative fun on Friday April 11.

From 10 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, parents are encouraged to attend and join in.  Fun in the Park is just one of the  many supportive ways the council provides for the families living in property in Darwin.
