Darwin is once again preparing to welcome one of its biggest annual events, as the Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival is planned for this coming weekend.
Taking place over the May Day long weekend, the festival is expected to draw in visitors from throughout Darwin and beyond.
Events such as this are an integral part of the community and provide a big draw for people considering purchasing apartments in Darwin.
A number of big events are planned for Saturday May 4, including the Jetty Artspace, an area where community artists of all ages can come together and showcase their talents at an outdoor exhibit.
Visitors can also expect to see the Seabreeze Sand Sculpture Competition on Nightcliff beach, where there will be $500 up-for-grabs for first place, as well as prizes for those in second and third.
The Dance Stage is expected to be a big hit this year, as dancers from a number of different backgrounds and genres will be performing throughout the day.
Highlights include performances by the China Friendship Society Dance Group, Roberts Academy of Irish Dancing and Darwin Line Dancers.
Homegrown musical talent will be on show at the CDU Music Stage, which will provide an opportunity for schools and local community groups to perform and demonstrate their work.
