Applications for National Youth Week 2015 funding opens

In April 2015, the Northern Territory will celebrate National Youth Week, which is the biggest celebration of Australia's youth in the country .  If you're a resident of real estate in Darwin and have an idea for organising an event to take place during the week, applications for grants to do so are now open – offering a number of opportunities to people across the state.

Minister for Young Territorians Peter Styles said National Youth Week – which runs April 10 to 19 – offers a chance to celebrate the wonderful youth culture of the region and aims to develop a confident environment for young people to grow up in.

"The National Youth Week grants provide a great opportunity for young people to develop their skills, express their creative ideas and become involved in projects on all levels. Young people have the opportunity to work with community groups, local business networks and the wider community, to see their ideas turn into events that Territorians will actually take part in," said Mr Styles in a September 29 statement.

Applications for the grants close on 7 November, so now could be the perfect time to begin thinking about your contribution to the celebrations and begin putting a plan into action.
